OCTOBER SPECIALS INCLUDING THE LONG ANTICIPATED RETURN OF RED DIESEL!

YES, WE ARE NEARLY IN OCTOBER PEOPLE! THE WIND HAS PICKED UP AND THE RAIN HAS BEEN LASHING DOWN BUT WE HAVE THREE FANTASTIC SPECIALS TO CHEER YOU UP!

WE ARE PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT RED DIESEL IS MAKING A SPECIAL APPEARANCE  AFTER A LONG HIATUS AND WILL BE AVAILABLE FROM THURSDAY 3RD OCTOBER. OUR RUBY BEST BITTER WILL BANISH THOSE WINTER BLUES BUT GET IT WHILE YOU CAN!

TO ADD TO THIS, WE WILL HAVE DAY OF THE TRIFFIDS, OUR LOCALLY PICKED GREEN HOPPED ALE AND FREAK SHOW, THE EPONYMOUS BEER OF OUR FREAK SHOW RANGE, THIS PALE COPPER ALE USES THE FINEST ENGLISH HOPS.

Hop Picking for our October beer "Day of the Triffids"

It's all hands on deck this week, even the Sales Staff are getting involved in picking the hops for our October beer Day of the Triffids - 4.1% - a locally picked, light amber, green hopped beer. Available from Friday 27th September.

Chappel Beer Festival is here again and we will be taking up our usual place in The Shunter's Arms.

Come and see us at the East Anglian Railway Museum, Wakes Colne from Tuesday 3rd September to Saturday 7th September.

Free brewery toura, BBQ bites and of course the chance to purchase gift boxes and draught beer to take home for the Christmas period.

We had some success in Chelmsford and Mid Essex Camra's Champion Beers of East Anglia, announced in February.

Overall Champion Beer of East Anglia: *Silver*  Brazilian Coffee and vanilla porter

Speciality Beers: *Gold* Brazilian coffee and vanilla Porter

Best Bitters: *Bronze* Colchester No.1

New pump clip designs

A few months ago we were lucky enough to have Julie and Kai from www.flamingguntattoo.com agree to design new clips for our permanent beers.

Once the drawings were done by Julie, it was over to our graphic artist Trevor Johnson to put the new designs into the final designs. We thought it would be a great excuse for a little party. A little shin-dig was organised at the Odd One Out and we were joined not only by Julie and Kai's family but also ten landlords and landladies from the town's pubs.
